UNH Strafford Room

**Brought to you by PJL and the MUB**

Damien Echols will be speaking at UNH!!!

In 1994 in West Memphis, Arkansas, Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley, Jr., and Jason Baldwin, also known as the West Memphis Three, were wrongfully convicted of the slaying of three young boys.
While Misskelley and Baldwin were sentenced to life imprisonment, Echols was sentenced to death.
However, due to their resilience and immense outside support, the West Memphis Three were finally freed in 2011.

Attend this event to hear first-hand from Damien Echols (and his wife!) about his difficult, yet triumphant journey.

Prior to the event, there will be a peaceful vigil and march in support of the abolition of the death penalty in NH. We will meet on the right side of Thompson Hall Lawn (the Great Lawn) at 6:00pm. Remmy Cushing, who introduced the death penalty repeal bill to the NH House, will be speaking at the vigil!
