Raise The Wage NH!- Concord Rally Thursday, May 8th @ 9:00AM

From NH Alliance for Action:

Did you know full-time minimum wage workers earn less than $300/week? It's time to raise our voices to raise the wage - join us this Thursday, May 8, at 9:00 AM!

Low wage earners in New Hampshire work hard, play by the rules, and deserve a fair day's pay for a fair day's work. They're counting on activists like you to stand with them as they fight for the raise they need so they can put food on the table and heating fuel in their tanks.

HB 1403 would increase the minimum wage to $9.00 per hour by 2016 - thereby raising the wages, directly or indirectly, of nearly 76,000 New Hampshire workers.

The New Hampshire House of Representatives has already passed HB 1403, and now the State Senate is scheduled to vote on this critical legislation. If you support raising the minimum wage, join the Raise the Wage NH Coalition to rally outside the State House this Thursday, May 8 at 9:00 AM before the Senate votes on this critical legislation. Activists will meet at our office, located at 4 Park Street (to the right of the State House) where we will have pre-made signs or supplies so you can make your own.
